Nroute could not find any installed mapsource

You can only upload Favorites to the C Once there, those can be chosen as destinations. And in some cases you can add one via point to a route after it is activated so if you uploaded a destination and a via point you could, at least in theory, choose a destination and then a via point from your Favorites.

See my comments below about multiple destination routing. When they started selling GPS receivers with the mapping pre-loaded, they also included the DVD with the same mapping so that you could still do the planning on the PC and upload the routes. Then they started selling the dumbed down models that had fewer navigation options and they quit including the DVD with the mapping in the sale.

But, last I knew, if you call Garmin support at 1 and ask for it they will send you the DVD with the mapping you have for free. When you install that it will also install the MapSource application, MapSource will host the mapping data, and you'll be off and running.

Does anybody know what I have done wrong? That download is an update, it needs to find a MapSource install and then it will all work. If you want a GPS receiver that will let you do trip planning on a PC and have full control of the routing you need a Garmin model that will do multiple destination routing and route optimization. I get a message to send an email to Garmin. Catymag, I'm trying to get maps onto a Garmin data card not a phone. The only way I know is by using Mapsource software and Mapsource maps.
